My name is Piero. I come from Venice and I lived many years in Germany and England. Teaching Italian is one of my life’s passion (along with art), and I have been teaching students of all ages for years. I graduated at the University of Venice and I continued studying at the University of Florence (PhD in Art History). I am a professional Italian teacher: I got CEDILS (Certificate of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language, University of Venice) and I recently completed a 1st level Professional Master Programm in Linguistics (Didactics and promotion of Italian language and culture to Foreigners, University of Venice with stage at Bogazici University). For my master degree I particularly focused on the effects of language transfer and third language acquisition in Turkish native speakers who already knows English. Furthermore, I am an English teacher (CELTA, by University of Cambridge). My years of experience as a teacher have helped me form a teaching approach that guides how I help my students succeed in learning. I do believe that their success begins in making them comfortable and I always encourage them to share their questions and opinions in an open and relaxed environment. We all never stop learning, I always feel I have to improve my skills and develop my teaching techniques according to the latest standards. During my stage at Bogazici University I discovered the importance of the theories of suggestopedia. According to these theories, if the learners feel relaxed and comfortable, they’ll be more receptive to learning the new language. For this reason, in teaching I tend to avoid boring grammatical exercises and encourage the learner language production. Benim adım Piero ve ben profesyonel bir İtalyanca öğretmeniyim. Modern teknikleri kullanarak italyanca öğrenmenize yardımcı olmaktan memnuniyet duyarım. Türkçe seviyem A2-B1'dir.
